EXPERTISE IN WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT Severe pollution of most surface waters, caused by increased discharge of untreated wastewater, has forced many countries in adopting stringent legislation and discharge standards. The pollutant’s diversity, high concentrations, increasingly restrictive discharge standards and demand for higher water quality made the treatment systems highly energy intensive and pushed the cost of wastewater treatment. This led to more research and adoption of less energy intensive and Cost-effective new technologies for wastewater treatment. IRAMCONSULT’s experience of over 10 years in the field of wastewater treatment has been influenced by the demand for new and cost-effective technologies. With the network of its resources, active collaborations with the research institutes and combined with a clear vision to provide the most advanced, tangible and sustainable wastewater treatment systems, it pioneered the application of a ‘Clean technology’, UASB process for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment in India. This technology requires minimum energy for its operation/maintenance and has resource recovery in the form of Biogas and mineralized sludge, rich in nutrients. Today, IRAMCONSULT is recognized for its pioneering and responsive approach to the design of state of the art wastewater treatment systems, especially based on ‘UASB process’.
IRAMCONSULT provides wastewater management solutions and services that are most suited to the local conditions, customer’s needs and resources. It also provides solutions based on conventional treatment technologies, namely, Activated Sludge Process, Extended Aeration Systems, Aerated Lagoons, Oxidation Ditch, etc. IRAMCONSULT designed, commissioned and stabilized wastewater treatment systems for cities with populations of 5 million and more, providing treatment capacities upto 200 million liters of wastewater daily.
LOGISTICS The key professional staff of IRAMCONSULT at the ‘Global Design Centre’, at New Delhi (India), consists of experts from variety of disciplines, Process, Civil, Hydraulics, Environmental, Structural, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, etc.. Apart from a permanent staff of about 20 professionals, who are trained engineers, designers and experts, it has on its panel independent consultants of repute located in India, Europe and United States. In addition, towards acquiring the desired strategic capabilities, IRAMCONSULT has strategic alliances with other International consulting organisations.
The Global Design Centre is equipped with more than 30 workstations dedicated to Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD). The workstations are on a Local Area Network (LAN), fully equipped with state of the art software and hardware. The centre has access to latest versions of Engineering, CADD (AutoCAD), Mapping, GIS and other relevant softwares. It has state of the art communication systems via dedicated TCIP/ISDN lines, Internet, telephone and Fax to maintain high level connectivity with the US office and the clients.
