The design and construction of 8
MLD UASB Sewage treatment plant (STP) at Chapra, Bihar was a
part of the Ganga Action Plan, Phase-I, scheme of the National
River Conservation Directorate (NRCD), Ministry of Environment
and Forests, Govt. of India. The project was undertaken within
the bilateral co-operation framework between the Govt. of
India and the Netherlands. This project was funded by DGIS,
the Govt. of Netherlands and NRCD was the official nodal
agency. The Bihar Rajya Jal Parishad (BRJP) was the official
implementing Agency for the project.
IRAMCONSULT, New Delhi, provided
consultancy services alongwith Haskoning, The Netherlands for
the project. The scope of work for the consultants included
Inventories and surveys, Design, Detailed Engineering and
preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Tender
Documents.
