Description of
the Project:
Within the Indo-Dutch bilateral
co-operation framework, the Ganga Action Plan Support Project
(GAPSP) has been formulated as an integrated approach project
for tackling the pollution problem of river Ganga and
upgradation of local civic conditions of Kanpur South City.
This project is the Second Phase of the Ganga Action Plan of
National River Conservation Directorate (NRCD). The costs for
financing the schemes under Ganga Action Plan Support Project
are borne by Directorate-General International Cooperation (DGIS),
Government of Netherlands.
Within the scope of work given
above the consultants will be designing facilities to make the
Kanpur South city completely sewered, wastewater generated
shall be conveyed to sewage treatment plant to reduce the
pollution load before being discharged into river Ganga, solid
waste generated shall be properly collected & disposed off and
augmentation of water supply scheme & rehabilitation programme
shall be conducted to improve the status of water supply in
order to meet the water requirement of local population.
Current Status
on the Project
The consultants have completed
the final Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and Tender Documents
and have submitted all the relevant documents to the Royal
Netherlands Embassy (Client) for their final perusal before
the execution of the work on site.
